I've just managed to get the Group B for the Thai 2nd Division uploaded to the wiki.
Check it out here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thailand_Division_2_League_Group_B_2008
I'm hoping to get Group A fully up and running and the results for Division One to be completed by next week.
Interestign to see if a 3rd Division is created for next year.
If so, i worry about travel costs, but then i guess it would just be a regional division, but will give these regional sides a sense of direction.
Currently, we can see the top two in both Groups A and B in the Thailand 2nd Division move into the first Division.
From here teams placed from 3rd to 6th in both groups would form a single 2nd division for next season along with the four teams relegated from the Thai 1st Division.
Teams placed 7-11 again in groups A and B in the 2nd Division will form a new 3rd division along with a couple of regional sides.
So, currently the set up is this:
Level One: Thai Premier League
Level 2: Thai 1st Division
Level 3: Thai 2nd Division, Groups A & B
Next season should see the following:
Level One: Thai Premier League
Level 2: Thai 1st Division
Level 3: Thai 2nd Division
Level 4: Thai 3rd Division
Level 5: Regional Leagues
Hopefully this plan, which is really only a rumour at the moment, will take off, and bring in a decent cup compeition for the whole of the country, and FAT may just be onto a good working system for the future
