Check www.wikipedia.org for Thai football clubs for websites etc and maybe post on the Thai football forum www.thaifootball.com
Generally, you could just ring up a club, assuming you can contact them and go for a trial. But now the season is just beginning so i'm not sure what budget teams have. But you should be able to find a club at 3rd level or lower at least
how does the standard of thai football compare to england.it is quite hard to judge what level you can go in and play at.have you played football in thailand.
Well, from reports i've heard, some games are very hectic and simply non-stop. Fast and furious.
But i seencouple of games i've seen from TV, the games have been more controlled and steady - but these were games played in extreme heat at say 4pm. But the standard of football was excellant if a little slow for the games i sure. It was all good build up play really.
I haven't personally played in Thailand, but here in the England, i've played in the Unibond and Northern Counties league which is a decent standard, but i would say it's nothing compared to Thai Premier League at least as English football at that level is more gung ho, and Thai football is more technique.
But these are fully trained professionals we are talking about.
But for example, you could sit in the middle of the park and knock things about rather than sprinting up and down the wing but really i think you are playing against the conditions more than the game.
Personally, if i was you, get yourself hooked up with a side in Bangkok, there's many clubs. I'm not sure how easy it is to get hold of any of them. But I would start Division 2 or just lower and this should set you in good stead. Once you've contacted a team, it shouldn't be hard to ask to train with them and from there anything goes.
thanks for the advice mate
